Lottie went so peacefully with Mum, Dad and me at her side. I whispered in her ear one last time
“I love you, I love you more, I love you the most”
Lottie was more than “just a dog” she was my soulmate, constant companion, hiking / adventure / swimming buddy, and mostly my best friend. So long as we were together we could do anything.
As my first ever dog (waited 27 years) man was she worth the wait. The 1st two nights she slept soundly on her bed next to mine. But by the 3rd night she wouldn’t settle so I put her up on the bed with me she curled up on the pillow and never moved all night. From that night on that’s where she slept. On cold nights she enjoyed being tucked up under the blankets with her head on the pillow. Never woke me in the middle of the night and if she did need to go to the toilet she would sit beside my bed and quietly whine, or put her wet nose on my hand to gently wake me up. Her favourite was sleep in days when the alarm didn’t go off and we could lie and cuddle in bed together.
Weekends were her favourite, she was always ready for an adventure. Whether it be going on walk, swim , waterfall chasing, looking for orchids, or finding a new location to explore. I never had to worry with her off lead she would lead the way and if I didn’t keep up she always came back to check on me. We never went on a walk without her finding a stick or two to carry. If we were near water particularly puddles she always had to have a paddle.
She loved to help make the bed and made it game rolling around on the fresh sheets with the biggest grin on her face. There was never a dull moment with her around.
In the summer she loved nothing more to going for swims up the river at our favourite spot together. It was a daily occurrence she had to look under the wheelie bins for lizards
Dad will miss his garden helper picking peas and beans won’t be the same without you insisting on having some
You sure loved your veggies

Lottie was so clever and incredibly trainable. It was like our minds were one she knew exactly what I was asking when learning new tricks or any dog sport we were training for. Always so willing to please and gave her
Trips to Bunnings was a highlight as anyone who knew Lottie knows that she LOVED people and getting pats. An absolutely fantastic ambassador for the breed gaining new admirers everywhere we went.
Going on over night trips with her was such a breeze she just went with the flow. Would walk into any place and make herself right at home no matter where we went so long as she was with me.
We loved being part of the CPAT Trickstars Trick Dog Demo Team going all over the state showing the public how much fun you can have with your dog and also promoting dog sports with your team mates.
Over the years we had a go at nearly every dog sport here that was available; lure coursing, canine disc, tracking, track and search, scent work, tricks, rally obedience, retrieving, sprint dog, bale hunt, agility, sprint dog and we started some training in backpacking last year.
Lottie always gave her
in whatever she did
We went to our 1st show together a week before she turned 6 months and didn’t batter an eye lid strutted around the ring like she had been here before and with a wagging tail. Particularly when the judge was going over her she loved being the centre of attention

Lottie was truly a once in a lifetime dog a “unicorn”. My heart is completely broken
Our bond was like no other. I honestly don’t know how I can go on through life without my heart dog by my side the pain and empty feeling is unbearable
Through Lottie I have made many life long friends and connecting me with people all over Australia and the world.
Lottie’s legacy will live on through her 6 children and many great grand children

Rest easy gorgeous girl, until we meet again xx
